Gagan is an Independent Director on the boards of Timex Group and Future Retail Ltd. She heads the Audit Committees of both Companies and is an consultant to Anuj Puri’s Anarock Property Services Pvt. Ltd.
She considers herself to be a general management expert and have consistently achieved success in reviving businesses that are in trouble or need to scale up through better processes and rhythm. She manages to make dysfunctional teams work better together.
Gagan retired from Jones Lang LaSalle India in March 2017 where she worked for 10 years as CEO. She joined JLL in May 2007, to oversee the integration of the merger of Jones Lang LaSalle with Meghraj which created India’s largest real estate services firm . She led the Projects and Development Services business for India from 2008 to 2012 which more than doubled its revenue under her leadership.
She started the Sri Lanka business in 2011 and led it successfully for 5 years. She set up the SEZ Shared Service Operations 2012 which is now poised to grow to a 1500 headcount by 2019. Gagan initiated and led the CSR and Diversity & Inclusion agendas for India and also implemented the Ethics program for the Company.
She has over 30 years of experience across the apparel, exports and hospitality sectors. Prior to JLL, she was with Benetton India for over 6 years as Executive Director, and was appointed CEO in 2005. Gagan spent 14 years from 1982 to 1995 in Nepal with the Soaltee Group, the leading conglomerate of Nepal.
She enjoys theatre, interior design & travel and is a trustee since 1999 of Salaam Baalak Trust, an NGO, working with street and working children and the founding Vice President of Youthreach, an NGO.
